1. Société Générale Accompanies Ciments de l'Afrique in Chad: "Société Générale Group, through a consortium of African subsidiaries (Société Générale Chad, Société Générale Cameroon, and Société Générale Congo) led by Société Générale Morocco, accompanies the development of Ciments de l'Afrique (CIMAF) and its establishment in Chad. The new cement plant required an overall investment of 23 billion CFA Francs, i.e. 35 million Euros (more than three hundred and eighty million Dirhams), and benefited from a long-term financing from the Société Générale consortium."


2. BP Is Further Digitized: "BCP (Banque Centrale Populaire) has released the big game on the evening of June 19 to present its "digital transformation". Pink and blue lights, speech at the California keynote... The goal: Showing that the bank with five million customers is rejuvenating and moving towards larger digitization. From now on, it will be possible to open a remote bank account even if the finalization of the procedure should always take place in an agency. Another novelty: The customer will have the possibility to leave directly with their bank card in hand at the opening of their account, all this without any printed document."


3. Foreign Direct Investment: The Flow Is Close to 13 Billion Dirhams: "The flow of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in Morocco amounted to some 12.9 billion Dirhams (MMDH) during the first five months of 2017, against 10.4 MMDH a year earlier, i.e. an increase of 24%, according to the Exchange Office. This result is due to a 45.4% decline in FDI spending to 2.26 MMDH, combined with an increase in revenues of 4.2% to 15.17 MMDH at the end of May 2017, explains the Exchange Office in a note on the preliminary indicators of external trade of May 2017."


4. Environment: The CGEM Organizes the Forum "Entreprises Climat Maroc": "The General Confederation of Moroccan Companies (CGEM) organizes at the Sofitel Casablanca Tour Blanche on July 6, 2017, its forum "Entreprises Climat Maroc" under the theme "The New Low Carbon and Resilient Climate Change Economy: Opportunities for African Companies". This meeting will allow, on the one hand, to take stock of the evolution of the Climate issue and its impact on economic actors, and, on the other hand, to create a framework for exchange and sharing for African employers around their visions, initiatives, and "climate" actions."


5. Morocco Elected Vice-President of AMCEN: "In Libreville, on Friday, Morocco has been elected vice-president of the new office of the African Ministerial Conference on the Environment (AMCEN) chaired by Gabon. The Kingdom, elected to this position for a term of two years (2017-2018), will be a representative member of the North Africa region."
