L'Oréal will offer virtual make-up tests on Facebook: L'Oréal announced on Thursday a long-term collaboration with Facebook in order to offer the social network users virtual make-up trials. The world leader in cosmetics is thus continuing its development in digital. The French group stated in a press release that consumers, through a direct connection between Facebook and ModiFace, the beauty tech company recently acquired by L'Oréal, could virtually test the make-up of its flagship cosmetic brands such as Maybelline, Urban Decay, Lancôme, or Yves Saint Laurent.
Facebook wants to access its users' banking data: The American social networking giant Facebook has approached major American banks to ask them to share data from their customers who subscribe to the social network, in order to offer new features on its Messenger messaging service. With this new feature, the famous social network wants to allow its users to consult their bank account balance or credit card transactions via Messenger. Facebook, however, has not specified how it intends to use the requested data.
Advertising will soon land on WhatsApp: The popular WhatsApp messaging will soon integrate monetization for businesses and add advertising in the user space.
