1. Lydec: 20 billion Dirhams managed in 20 years! : "The manager in charge of water, electricity, liquid sanitation, and street lighting distribution services at the level of Grand Casablanca (Lydec) has realized an estimated investment of more than 20 billion Dirhams (MMDH) over the last twenty years. "The cumulative investments of the Delegated Management between 1997 and 2016 have amounted to more than 20 billion Dirhams. It is the liquid sanitation which is a priority in the investments program, since it takes 45% of the realized investments. The remainder is allocated to the other businesses of the company; namely drinking water (23%), electricity and street lighting (27%), and common means (5%)," said Mr. Jean-Pascal Darriet, the General Manager of Lydec, at the 14th annual Media Seminar, organized by Lydec, on May 19 and 20."


2. Visa opening index in Africa: Morocco, the 41st out of 54 countries: "The African Development Bank has published, for the second consecutive year, the "Africa Visa Openness Report", a report that ranks the level of openness of African countries depending on the requirements imposed on African citizens to obtain an entry visa in a given African country. A classification carried out in collaboration with the Commission of the African Union and the World Economic Forum (FEM)."


3. Africa Morocco Link launches its second ship on the line Tanger-Algeciras: "The maritime passenger carrier Africa Morocco Link (AML) offered a second ship. Called Morocco Star, the new ferry, 152 meters length, offers a capacity of 935 passengers and 220 cars' spaces with on-board services deemed very high-end on the Tanger Med-Algesiras line. "We would like to express our pride as a Moroccan private group to co-initiate an important and strategic project for our country. In less than a year of existence, AML has gained a good place among the maritime operators in Morocco. In less than 6 months too, our company acquired two international standing vessels flying the Moroccan flag, and it will continue to develop and raise the flag even higher," declares M'Fadel El Halaissi."


4. To strengthen the private sector in Africa, Japan lends 300 million Dollars to AfDB: "The African Development Bank and the Japanese Government have signed a joint agreement last week for a loan to assist the private sector. This is the 7th loan granted as part of the joint initiative of enhanced assistance for the private sector in Africa. This funding, amounting to 34.41 billion Yens, i.e. about 300 million Dollars, is destined to support the private sector operations in Africa via the non-sovereign wicket of the AfDB."


5. Cloud services: Microsoft data centers in Africa by 2018: "Microsoft has just announced the opening of new data centers in South Africa by 2018. The multinational will install them in Johannesburg and Cape Town with the aim of providing the region more efficiently. After releasing its financial results at the end of April 2017, Microsoft has just made a new announcement regarding the opening of additional data centers. The multinational, founded by Bill Gates and Paul Allen, intends to install them in South Africa, according to the information unveiled by Fortune on May 18, 2017."
