1. Parliament: The House of Representatives adopts a majority of the first part of the 2017Finance Bill: "The House of Representatives has adopted, on Friday evening in plenary session, the first part of the 2017 Finance Bill (PLF) by the majority. The first part of PLF-2017 was adopted by 198 votes for, 63 against, and 39 abstentions. In response to speeches by parliamentary groups, the Minister of Economy and Finance, Mohamed Boussaid, has reported the government's willingness to interact with the "appropriate amendments" when drawing up the next PLF."


2. Through its joint venture JESA: OCP Group strengthens in engineering in Africa: "The second edition of the Engineering Symposium in Africa (ESA 2017) was held in Marrakech at the initiative of Jacobs Engineering SA (JESA) on May 11 and 12. This leader in consulting and engineering in Morocco is the result of a joint venture between OCP and Jacobs Engineering Inc. Organized under the theme "Engineering for Prosperity in Africa", this edition brought together some 300 high-level experts from more than 30 countries, operating in sectors as diverse as infrastructure, engineering, mining, urbanism, oil and gas, energy, and technology."


3. Co-development: Morocco-China-Africa, a promising triangular cooperation: "Hassan II University and the Confucius Center organize at the Faculty of Legal, Economic, and Social Sciences of Casablanca these Friday and Saturday, May 13 and 12, a scientific meeting devoted to the relations between Rabat and Beijing and the prospects they offer as part of the Morocco-China-Africa triangular cooperation. This first fortnight of May marks the start of a crucial year in Sino-Moroccan relations, and the end of a year will definitely mark the relations between the two countries for a long time. Recalling that on May 16, 2016, His Majesty the King visited China, which led to the signing of numerous strategic agreements. The example of the agreement that made it possible to implement Tanger Tech in February is very edifying in this respect."


4. Saidia, the first Moroccan destination for the Portuguese in 2016: "Saidia remains, for the 4th consecutive year, the 1st destination for Portuguese tourists in 2016, knowing that it alone received 48% of the Portuguese overnight stays recorded in Morocco. The Pearl of the Oriental also saw an increase in the number of overnight stays by 46% last year, according to the delegation of the ONMT in Lisbon. Marrakech, the 2nd favorite destination of the Lusitanians, its arrivals has seen a 30% increase at Marrakech-Menara airport and its overnight stays 17%."
