Advertisers call to strengthen the fight against advertising fraud: "The World Federation of Advertisers (WFA) and its French counterpart, the Union of Advertisers (UDA), called Wednesday to strengthen the fight against advertising fraud, due in particular to networks of automated ‘bots’ that imitate clicks of Internet users and capture some of the expenses of digital advertising. "Our assumption is that digital fraud accounts for between 10 and 30% (of advertising traffic), and we think it's more at the top of the range. This is a big issue for advertisers," said Stephan Loerke, head of the WFA, during a meeting with reporters. "If nothing was done and we stay on this trend, we believe that in 2025 digital advertising fraud will be the second income of criminal activities in the world after drug trafficking," he warned."
