1. The Investment Commission approves 51 projects for a total amount of 67 billion Dirhams: "The Investment Commission has approved the realization of 51 projects for a total amount of 67 billion Dirhams that will allow the creation 6,477 jobs. The investment program adopted shall enter into force immediately for a period of five years. The commission that had not met for two years was chaired by the Head of Government Saad-Eddin El Othmani. This investment program is different from that included in the draft Finance Law for the year 2017."
2. Telecommunications markets: In the first quarter of 2017, the Internet park reached nearly 18.3 million subscribers: "The telecom market continues to be carried on the Internet, mainly via the mobile. In the first quarter of 2017, the Internet park reached almost 18.3 million subscribers, an annual increase of 26% and a quarterly increase of 7%. The penetration rate has thus increased to almost 54%, according to the latest figures published by the National Telecommunications Regulatory Agency (ANRT). "These positive developments are mainly carried by mobile networks where Internet subscribers totaled 16.97 million, recording a net increase of 1.15 million subscribers over a quarter. It thus represents an annual growth of almost 27.5% and quarterly of 7.3%," stresses the ANRT."

Crédit du Maroc: Well-oriented financial indicators: ""At the end of the first quarter of the year, Crédit du Maroc Group (CDM) has showed well-oriented financial indicators with an increase of 54.4% of the Group net income (RNPG) to 104.4 million Dirhams (MDH)," commented the analysts at BMCE Capital Bourse."
4. Moroccan banks competing for the African Banker Awards 2017: "Three Moroccan banks are nominated for the trophies "African Banker Awards 2017" which will be presented in Ahmedabad, India, on May 23. Attijariwafa bank nominated in the African Bank of the Year category, Central Guarantee Fund (CCG) in the Financial Inclusion category, and Crédit Agricole du Maroc Group in the Social Responsibility category. These trophies, awarded by the African Banker magazine, will be presented at the annual meetings of the African Development Bank (AfDB). Apart from Morocco, this year's vintage is dominated by Kenya, South Africa, and Nigeria."
5. Inwi launches the first professional e-sport league: "After the development of video games on the Internet or mobile, the telecom operator Inwi has allied with Area12, a reference in E-sport, for the professionalization of gaming in Morocco. The discipline currently has close to 150,000 followers at the national level. For the first time in Morocco, Inwi created in partnership with Area12 the inwi e-league, the first professional e-sport league. It is in fact a program of professional competitions throughout the year, open to all Moroccan players around four flagship games: League of Legends, Fifa 2017, the King of Fighters XIV, and Street Fighter V."
