1. Creation of a Brazil-Morocco Friendship Group in the Brazilian Senate: "A Brazilian-Moroccan parliamentary friendship group, in which various political trends are represented, has just been constituted in the Brazilian Senate on Wednesday. The friendship group is chaired by Senator Cristovam Buarque of the Socialist People's Party (PPS), while Senator Eunicio Viera, Representative of the Party of the Brazilian Democratic Movement (PMDB, in power), has been appointed as Honorary President."
2. Dekra Automotive Maroc Expects 190 Million Dirhams of Revenue by 2020: "Dekra Automotive Maroc, specialist in technical controls, expects a turnover in Morocco of 190 million dirhams by 2020. An objective which will be achieved, particularly through the new technical control, expertise, and consulting activities, specifies the group in a statement. Currently, Dekra Automotive Maroc has a turnover of 160 million dirhams, employs 230 people, and 800 temporary workers. The group, present in Morocco since 2007, has a network of 120 technical control centers, 32 of which are self-employed and 800,000 technical visits per year."
3. Focus of HCP on the Tadla-Azilal Region: "Three-quarters of the emigrants from the region of Tadla-Azilal were, since the 2000s, farmers, or agricultural workers or operators, according to the High Commission for Planning (HCP). "Among the emigrants who have left their region since 2000, three-quarters were farmers, or agricultural workers or operators, followed by artisans, skilled workers, and laborers, indicates HCP which has just published the results of a survey of Moroccans residing abroad (MRE) in the Tadla-Azilal region, on the occasion of the National MRE Day."
4. Closure on August 20 of Casa-Port Train Station’s Circulation of Trains Due to Exceptional Works: "This Sunday, August 20, 2017, the National Office of Railways (ONCF) will carry out an important phase of large-scale works on the Casablanca railway crossing located between the stations of Casa-Voyageurs, Casa-Port, and Ain Sebaa, stressed the Office in a press release, specifying that the normal resumption of traffic is scheduled on Monday, August 21, starting from 5 am. According to ONCF, this work, which focuses on the separation of the train routes to the three stations, began seven months ago. Their aim is to improve the flow of trains at the crossroads through which 90% of rail traffic travels, i.e. more than 200 trains per day."
5. MREs Created 53 Companies in 2016: "The director of the Regional Investment Center (CRI) of Marrakech, Ibrahim Khaireddine, presented the measures taken by the government to incite Moroccans residing abroad (MRE) to invest in their country of origin, including an accompanying program, the establishment of a fund dedicated to supporting MRE investments, and an incentive tax system. Ibrahim Khaireddine, quoted by MAP, said that some 53 companies were created in 2016 by MREs in the prefecture of Marrakech and in the province of Al-Haouz, of which 40% in the services sector. The local Wali, Abdelfettah Labjioui, noted that the Regional Investment Commission has managed to handle some 261 projects in 2016 at a cost of 67 billion dirhams, an increase of 974% compared to 2015. These investments resulted in the creation of 21,656 jobs, i.e. an increase of 178%."
