IVORY COAST:
France Grants 2 Billion Euros to Support Ivory Coast, Including 1.4 Billion for the Financing of Abidjan Metro: "France has decided to grant financial support of 2.125 billion Euros (about 1394 billion FCFA) to Ivory Coast for the period 2017-2020. The announcement was made by the Ivorian Prime Minister, Amadou Gon Coulibaly, at the end of a French mission which took place in Abidjan on July 12 and 13, 2017. This important financial commitment from France to Ivory Coast will essentially finance projects in "certain priority sectors included in the National Development Plan (PND) 2016-2020", declares the Ivorian Prime Minister. Thereby, 725 million Euros (approximately 475.5 billion CFA Francs) will be used to finance projects in the fields of energy, roads, health, safety, education, and training, while 1.4 billion Euros (about 918.34 billion CFA Francs) will make it possible to "close the financing of line 1 of the subway of Abidjan"..."
