The 61st World Statistics Congress in Marrakech: Adopting New Approaches: "The 61st World Congress on Statistics, which will take place in Marrakech from July 16 to 21, under the patronage of His Majesty the King Mohammed VI, is an opportunity to address new statistical issues. It's the case, as stated, in Rabat on Wednesday, Ahmed Lahlimi Alami, of climate and sustainable and human development. During Ramadan: ONSSA: Seizure of 233 Tons of Damaged Products: "The National Office of Sanitary Security of Food Products (ONSSA) has just completed a review of food hygiene operations during the month of Ramadan. In the local market, the controls carried out in provincial mixed commissions or by ONSSA departments concerned 77,200 tons. These investigations resulted in the seizure of 233 tons of products unfit for consumption, i.e. 0.3% of the total controlled."

Said Chaou Arrested in the Netherlands: "The Department of Foreign Affairs can finally push a pound of relief. After seven years of waiting, the Moroccan requests for the arrest of Said Chaou have finally found echo in the Netherlands. The one currently accused of guiding the protest movement in Al Hoceima was arrested by the Dutch authorities yesterday, Thursday. The information was confirmed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a statement published yesterday. According to the department of Nasser Bourita, the arrest of Said Chaou constitutes an important development in the handling of this affair linked to organized crime and which has lasted for years. It intervenes, exclusively, in execution of the international arrest warrants issued by the Moroccan judicial authorities, one issued in 2010 for criminal association and the other in 2015 for international narcotics trafficking."
Agriculture: Two Conventions in Favor of the SaïSs Plain with the EBRD: "Two agreements related to the agricultural sector were signed in Rabat yesterday. The first was signed with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). It concerns the granting of a loan of 120 million Euros to finance an irrigation program in the Saïss plain."

Mohamed Benabdelkader Visits OECD: Signing of a Convention for the Strengthening of Bilateral Cooperation: "The Minister delegated to the Head of Government in charge of the Reform of Administration and Civil Service, Mohamed Benabdelkader, made a working visit to the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development during which he was received by Angel Gurria, Secretary General of the OECD. During the meeting, the two sides expressed their willingness to strengthen cooperation in the sectors of the reform of Administration and Civil Service, electronic administration, to strengthen the principles of integrity, to fight against corruption, and to improve the quality of public service."
