1. RAM strengthens in Dakhla: "The national airline company, Royal Air Maroc (RAM), announced on Thursday that it carries its offer from Casablanca to Dakhla to 8 flights per week starting from May 30, and to 10 weekly flights starting from next September. "Since May 30, 2017, RAM has extended its offer from Casablanca to Dakhla to 8 flights per week by proposing an additional weekly flight," the company said in a statement, specifying that this link is made in Boeing 737-800 with 160 seats including 12 in business."
4. A 19% increase in touristic overnight stays in April: "The tourists' overnight stays in classified accommodation establishments in Agadir increased by 19.19% last April compared with the same period in 2016, with the national tourists leading on top, according to statistics from the Regional Council of Tourism (CRT). A total of 388,692 overnight stays were recorded against 326,122 in the same month of the previous year."
5. Islamic Insurance: The beginnings are likely to be difficult: "Several constraints could hamper the Takaful at launching, according to the Moroccan Association for Participatory Finance Professionals. The economic model imposed by regulation could induce systematically more expensive premiums compared to conventional insurance. The field of activity and options for allocating resources to new operators should be limited initially.
