The Sovereign launches the construction work of a Center of training in the social and educational functions: His Majesty the King Mohammed VI lays in Rabat the foundation stone of a Regional Center for Oral Care: "His Majesty the King Mohammed VI proceeded, in the district El Massira in the Yaâcoub El Mansour in Rabat on Tuesday, laying the foundation stone of a Regional Center for Oral Care, which will be carried out by the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity for an overall investment of 16 million Dirhams. This solidarity project proceeds from the royal will aiming at strengthening the provision of oral health care at the level of Rabat Salé-Kénitra region by setting up a local medical and quality service that meets the needs of citizens."
Desalination of sea water: Morocco moves to higher gear: "After Agadir, Laayoune, Boujdour, Al Hoceima, and Tarfaya, in particular, the National Office of Electricity and Drinking Water is working on a new water desalination station in Sidi Ifni to strengthen the drinking water supply of the entire region."

Taxation: Safeguards against abuse of rights: "The CGEM has managed to adopt a series of proposals for amendments to the draft budget law. Among them is a clarification of the taxation of professional premises, a measure that had given rise to many concerns. The employers also obtained a better framework of the notion of abuse of right. A standing advisory committee will be set up to rule on cases and will be composed of representatives of the tax administration and the business community. The other main measure proposed by the CGEM and adopted in the Second Chamber concerning the renewal of the system destined for IPOs."
Banks: 2.5 billion Dirhams of profits in the 1st quarter: "Meanwhile, BMCI's quarterly results, the five other listed banking groups showed a profit of 2.5 billion Dirhams between January and March, an increase of 2.5%. Faced with Bank Al-Maghrib's concern about the profitability of banks due to the commercial aggressiveness of some institutions, the sector looks rather good. Since the Central Bank's warning, the interest rates on the housing credit in particular have risen. Some observers do not understand this movement especially that the inflation remains low and that there is no overheating in the real estate market."

Al Hoceima: 40 persons in custody: ""Forty people, who have committed acts contrary to the law and punished by the Penal Code, were arrested and placed in custody, following the incidents that occurred in Al-Hoceima on Friday," announced on Monday evening the Attorney General of the King near the Court of Appeal of this city. "These persons will be questioned about the alleged acts they are accused of and that are punished by the Penal Code," according to a statement from the Attorney General of the King, transmitted to the MAP. In order to enlighten public opinion, the Attorney General of the King at the Al-Hoceima Court of Appeal stated that the persons concerned had been deferred on Monday before the Prosecutor's Office of the Al-Hoceima District Court which ordered the prosecution of 25 people under arrest."
FDI: Morocco is consolidating its position in Africa: "Morocco has consolidated in 2016 its double position as a major recipient of foreign direct investment (FDI) and the first African investor in the continent, according to an analysis by the economic information agency Ecofin. "In total, the Kingdom drew last year investments for 80 new projects, an increase of 13%," precise Ecofin, pointing out that the country is in second place behind South Africa where FDI fell by 19%. Based on a 2017 FDI Markets report, the Financial Times group's online database, the Agency notes that from the point of view of the value of the investments, Morocco ranks fifth on the African scale with a total of 6.6 billion Dollars in received funding. This study shows that the Kingdom is the second African country in terms of foreign investment flows into new projects."

Article 8 bis does not pass at the level of the House of Counselors: Execute judgments and not to seize public goods, the challenge to hold: "Article 8 bis was deleted on Monday, May 29, from the Finance Bill 2017 by the Finance Committee of the House of Councilors. The members of the latter voted against this article unanimously. This article, preventing the seizure of communal and state property in the event of final judgments against the State or the communes, has fueled many debates. Several voices opposed this amendment introduced by the PJD parliamentary group which was described as scandalous and unconstitutional."

Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima: Towards improving the employability of young graduates: "The professional integration of young people without a diploma is one of the priorities in the region of Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima. To this end, 25 young people who have not graduated have just received training for their integration into working life in Tetouan. This initiative is the result of two agreements concluded by Anapec and its partners to train and integrate, by 2020, nearly 8,000 young people with no Moroccan diploma."
