The 25th Regional Assembly-Africa of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Francophony: Morocco pleads for African legislative institutions, capable of defending the interests of the continent, to accompany its growth dynamic: "The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Habib El Malki, has called for stronger involvement of African parliaments in the socio-economic dynamics that the continent experiences. Speaking at the opening of the 25th edition of the Africa Regional Assembly, as part of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Francophony, Mr. El Malki has affirmed that the African legislative institutions must accompany and support the emergence of the continent."
WEF report: Morocco, the eighth most competitive Arab country: "Morocco is defending itself well on the scale of the Arab world in terms of competitiveness. It is even the champion in North Africa. This is what emerges from a new report by the World Economic Forum (WEF) entitled "The New Economic Context for the Arab World." The Kingdom is, in fact, ranked eighth in the Arab region, behind the Gulf countries, Jordan, and the Sultanate of Oman, but ahead of Algeria, Tunisia, and Egypt. "This confirms it as the leader of North Africa. Indeed, in this region, Morocco (49th globally) leads to all levels," note the authors of the report."

Participatory Finance: The Party is open! : "AWARDING of bank licensing and participatory windows in January has reinforced the expectation around Islamic financial products. The authorizations for Bank Assafa (Attijariwafa bank), Umnia Bank (CIH Bank and QIIB), Najmah (BMCI), Dar Al-Amane (Societe Generale Maroc) have just been published in the Official Bulletin. Despite the openings of the first agencies -Umnia bank has simultaneously opened 3 points of sale- the future customers or other curious people will not have the immediate panoply of banking services."
E-Commerce: Look for tax! : "The enterprises in the digital economy are brewing billions that often escape the radars of tax administrations. In 2016, the global turnover of e-commerce reached 1.915 billion Dollars. By 2020, it is expected to exceed 4 trillion Dollars. In Morocco, the turnover for 2014 is estimated at 24 billion Dirhams. The challenge now is to combat the risks of tax evasion due to the particularities of the sector. This is one of the issues that the OECD is planning to design for taxation in the 21st century."

African cultural riches celebrated at UNESCO: "The cultural richness and diversity of the African continent was celebrated on Monday at a gala evening, full of color, as part of UNESCO's African Week. This evening was marked by artistic performances of several groups from Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, Egypt, Nigeria, Tanzania, Guinea, Ethiopia, Liberia, the Comoros, and Cape Verde, reflecting the diversity of Africa's rich cultural and artistic heritage."
Bouchaara, elected 1st Vice-President of the Commission on Crime Prevention: "The Ambassador of Morocco to Austria, Lotfi Bouchaara, was elected on Monday as the First Vice-President of the Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice (CCPCJ) at the opening of the works of the 26th session of the Commission which extend until May 26. During this one-year mandate, the Moroccan diplomat will have the mission of negotiating the adoption of ten UN resolutions within a committee dealing with issues related to terrorism, cybercrime, trafficking in persons, the promotion of the gender approach, and the fight against transnational organized crime."
