CAMEROON:
The government authorized to sign financing agreements of $42.5 million with the Islamic Development Bank: "The President of Cameroon, Paul Biya, has authorized his government to sign three financing agreements amounting to CFAF 25.42 billion ($42.5 million) with the Islamic Development Bank. The targeted resources will be allocated to the financing of the development of the pastoral sector in the country. CFAF 2.82 billion in this context will be mobilized via the Islamic financial technique known as the Ijara. This corresponds to a variant of leasing while observing the rules of Islamic law. There are two great variants of the Ijara: The contract may be in the form of a lease with payment of a rent, decided by mutual agreement between the parties, with, at the end, a clause of repurchase of the property at a residual price, the other form is the one in which the customer receiving the loan repays at the same time the rent and a portion of the agreed capital at fixed times. NAMIBIA:
Namibia receives a $750 million loan from the African Development Bank (AfDB): "On Thursday, the Namibian Minister of Finance, Calle Schlettwein, assured that his country has just received from the African Development Bank (ADB) a loan of 10 billion Namibian Dollars ($750 million). The new allocation made available by the Pan-African Bank is intended to finance the Government's budget deficit estimated at 6.3% of GDP in the current fiscal year. Also, this funding will support several infrastructure projects in the country. According to the Minister's statements, the loan will be spread over a two-year period with 6 billion Namibian Dollars (over $446 million) as budget support, and the remaining 4 billion Namibian Dollars (over $297 million) will be devoted to the financing of infrastructure projects in sectors; such as transport and renewable energies..."

Tanzania will import 131,000 tons of Sugar in 2017 to offset its deficit Sugar: "131,000 tons of sugar will arrive this year in the Tanzanian market.
