Strong Recovery of Banking Indicators Under the Supervision of BKAM: "Bank Al Maghrib has just published its 13th annual report on banking supervision. We learn that in a context of shy economic growth, banking credit could earn 4% in value in the year 2016. This performance is mainly driven by the increase in assistance to households (4.1%). Bank financing for non-financial enterprises also supported this increase, recovering from the decline received in 2015 by a 3.4% rebate. The volume of outstanding receivables has continued to build on its momentum in the past three years, with a risk rate of 7.6%. On the prudential level, the banks' financial base continued to consolidate, while the sector's average solvency ratio improved (14.2%) for a core capital ratio of 11.5%."
