He is under house arrest with an electronic bracelet," announced his lawyer Eric Dupond-Moretti in a statement to the MAP on Thursday. "Saad Lamajarred will not be able to leave the French territory. In the pre-trial detention at the Fleury-Mérogis Prison (Paris region) in the 26th of October 2016 after the accusations of a 20-year-old French woman claiming that he had abused her, the singer has always claimed his innocence. Saad Lamjarred was heard by the court in the 11th of April. His lawyers filed a new application for provisional release. The examining magistrate had three days to rule on this request."

This session will be followed by another session devoted to the elections to fill vacancies in the organs of the Chamber. A few days before the meeting of the Morocco-European Union Joint Committee: The President of the House of Representatives calls for a review of the neighborhood policy and an immunization of the agreements between the Kingdom and the EU: "In the eve of the 8th annual meeting of the EU-Morocco Joint Committee, scheduled in Rabat in the 18th and 19th of April, the President of the House of Representatives called for a review of the European Neighborhood Policy (ENP), which was set up in 2006. For Habib El Malki, the ENP is outdated in the light of the new geopolitical issues related in particular to the immigration and the intensification of the terrorist threat. Otherwise, El Malki said that Morocco-EU relations are facing obstacles built up from scratch, hence the importance of immunizing the agreements and treaties binding the two parties and surrounding them with the necessary political guarantees."
