In a nostalgic and heroic comeback, Pop-Tarts is leaping into the Marvel universe with a campaign that blends pop culture, cinema, and sweet indulgence. As part of its integrated partnership with Marvel Studios' upcoming film The Fantastic Four: First Steps, the brand has launched a vibrant new ad directed by Evan Silver, developed in collaboration with creative agencies Le Truc and Apache.
This cinematic campaign celebrates more than just superheroes — it honors a shared origin. Both Pop-Tarts and the Fantastic Four trace their beginnings to the 1960s, and this revival bridges generations with flavor and flair.
Leading the charge is the return of a cult favorite: Pop-Tarts Frosted Blue Raspberry. Back on shelves after a six-year absence, this tangy-sweet toaster pastry features a gooey blue raspberry-flavored center and is adorned with one of eight collectible frosting designs inspired by Marvel’s legendary superhero team. Fans can find it exclusively at Walmart while supplies last.
“Pop-Tarts and Marvel Studios’ The Fantastic Four: First Steps collaboration is a celebration of our shared 1960s origins,” said Leslie Serro, Vice President of Marketing for Pop-Tarts. “There’s no better way to welcome the blue-suited superhero family to the MCU than with the return of our own fantastically blue toaster pastry.”
But the celebration doesn’t end there. Starting this June, customers who purchase $10 worth of participating Pop-Tarts flavors — including Blue Raspberry, Frosted Strawberry, Brown Sugar Cinnamon, and S’mores — can receive a $5 Fandango Movie Reward to see The Fantastic Four: First Steps in theatres beginning July 25.
