LE MATIN DU SAHARA:
The prosecution's indictment continues today in the case of Gdim Izik: The Advocate General highlights the criminal intent of the accused during the settlement of the camp and their collusion with a neighboring country hostile to Morocco: "In his closing arguments last Monday in front of the Criminal Chamber in the annex of the Court of Appeal in Salé, the prosecutor stated that the accused in the Gdim Izik case had planned the installation of the Gdim Izik camp as part of a well-crafted project aimed at breaking public order by manipulating several people who had rallied in good faith to the camp. Indeed, telephone calls intercepted within the framework of the law have shown that certain defendants received instructions from foreign parties in order to take control of the camp and hinder all efforts undertaken by the public authorities through the dialogue committee. The prosecution's indictment also highlighted the movements of some of the accused several times in a neighboring country hostile to Morocco as part of the preparations for the camp's installation."
Sustainable territorial growth: Great study in project to anticipate the future of Moroccan cities: "Anticipating the dynamics of territories and promote efficient and sustainable growth models is the objective of a major study-reflection that must be sponsored, on July 20, the Department of Town Planning and Development for about 4 million Dirhams. In concrete terms, the ministry has the ambition to conduct a prospective reflection on the modeling of the urban growth of the major cities of the country. Through this approach, it aspires to think about scenarios likely to combine several parameters of urban growth and different indicators of urban density. The aim is to brew a "wider" panel of possible territorial developments."
L'ECONOMISTE:
France: 1st industrial investor: "The multiplication of attacks in Europe, coupled with the rise of "solitary wolves", make the strengthening of security cooperation between Morocco and France decisive. The fight against terrorism and cross-border crime should be one of the main items on the agenda during the visit of the French President Emmanuel Macron."
Casablanca-Settat: New granary of Morocco: "The Casablanea-Settat region has just won the jackpot and is undoubtedly the "granary of Morocco". With a total production of more than 26 million quintals, it now has enough to consolidate its ambitions as the country's leading agricultural region. It currently provides 25% of national cereal production. With these results, it is an exceptional agricultural season that is expected, perhaps even comparable to that of 2009."
AL BAYANE:
On instructions from H.M. the King, the Kingdom is sending food products to Qatar: "On the instruction of H.M. King Mohammed VI, the Kingdom of Morocco has decided to send airplanes loaded with food products to the State of Qatar," said on Monday a statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, which reads as follows: "On the instruction of His Majesty the King Mohammed VI, the Kingdom of Morocco has decided to send airplanes loaded with food products to the State of Qatar."
Hassad renounces the regionalization of holidays: "The new school year 2017-2018 brings some new features. The Minister of National Education, Mohamed Hassad, has abandoned the regionalization of holidays adopted by his predecessor, Rachid Benmokhtar, to reduce the seasonality of domestic tourism. A decree published on Monday announced the reunification of vacations for all regions. "This decision comes after an evaluation carried out at the level of all the regional academies and involving representative samples of all the components of the education system (pupils, teachers, directors, etc.) and parents' associations and civil society," indicates the ministry in a statement. The measure concerns primary, secondary, and higher education. "The idea is to distribute the periods of rest, preparation of examinations, and holidays equitably," precises the statement of the guardianship."
LIBERATION:
Emmanuel Macron host of Morocco: Reinforcing Secular Relationships: "Morocco, welcoming today the French President Emmanuel Macron, will be the first Maghrebian destination of the head of state. In response to the invitation addressed to him by His Majesty the King Mohammed VI, the head of state of the French Republic, giving the exclusivity of his first Maghreb official visit to the Kingdom, somewhat breaks a diplomatic use put in place by his predecessors, Jacques Chirac, Nicolas Sarkozy, and Francois Hollande. Indeed, the former French presidents had privileged Algiers for the first exit of their mandate in North Africa. These facts, however, must be placed beyond all considerations of regional rivalry."
Private schools called to overcome their dysfunctions: Mohamed Hassad has the eye: "6% of national private schools suffer from management problems, 11% of them have violated a series of regulatory provisions, and 48% have experienced malfunctions. This is evidenced by a check on the educational and administrative performance of the General Inspectorate of Education and Training."
AUJOURD'HUI LE MAROC:
Gulf Crisis: The Kingdom clarifies its position: "Morocco has just officially responded to the Gulf crisis. In a statement released to the media, The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (DFAIT) indicates that the Kingdom of Morocco's position vis-à-vis the crisis between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Bahrain, Egypt, and other Arab countries on the one hand, and the State of Qatar on the other, emanates from the clear principles which underpin the foreign policy of the Kingdom of Morocco and is based on the sincere brotherhood relations which bind His Majesty the King Mohammed VI to his brothers Kings and Princes of the States members of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC)."
Back to school year 2017-2018: No more holidays by region! : "Significant changes are announced for the next school year. Starting with the school holidays, the Minister of National Education, Vocational Training, Higher Education, and Scientific Research, Mohamed Hassad, decided to unify the school holidays for all the regions. Thereby, students will be on leave at the same time."
Les Inspirations Eco:
Operation Marhaba: The Spanish authorities are making the checks: "Moroccan vacationers returning to the fold mobilize 35 ships this year and 15,000 Spanish agents. For the first time, scanners are set up in three Spanish ports to subject the crew of cars to checking."
Stock market: The tax carrot to attract companies: "The Finance Law 2017 has renewed the reduction of the IS in favor of companies wishing to enter the stock market. It is a measure that aims to strengthen the rating, certainly, but above all tries to promote transparency and good governance within societies."
