An action supposed to constitute a platform for national social dialogue. Celebration of the Day of Africa: Morocco is reaping the fruits of a far-sighted royal diplomacy: "The policy of openness led by Morocco in Africa since 2002 was crowned by the Kingdom's return to its institutional family four months ago, the African Union, at the 28th summit in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia," affirms Nasser Bourita, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. Mr. Bourita, who was speaking in Rabat during a meeting organized in celebration of the Day of Africa, last Thursday, also recalled that the Kingdom had just obtained last Sunday the agreement in principle of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) to integrate this subregional grouping. For the Chief of Moroccan diplomacy, these achievements make 2017 an exceptional year for Moroccan diplomacy in Africa thanks to a clear-sighted and lucid royal vision. "In the last nine months, His Majesty the King visited for the first time eight countries, four in East Africa, two in Southern Africa, and two in West Africa," made clear Mr. Bourita."
