1. The economic growth is expected to reach 3.8% in Morocco: "According to the World Bank's recent prospects for the Moroccan economy, the growth rate in 2017 is expected to be 3.8%. 2. Energies and hydrocarbons: Morocco and China want to concretize their cooperation: "Morocco and China concretized, in Rabat, on Monday, June 5, their desire to strengthen their partnership in the field of energy, one year after the visit of the King Mohammed VI to Beijing. The Minister of Energy, Mines, and Sustainable Development, Aziz Rebbah, met with his Chinese counterpart Nur Bekri at a signing ceremony to set up cooperation agreements. These were concluded in May 2016 during the royal visit to the Chinese capital."
3. The ECOWAS Conference agrees in principle for the accession of Morocco: ""The conference of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) gave, in Monrovia on Sunday, its agreement in principle to Morocco's application to join this regional grouping. It also decided to invite His Majesty the King Mohammed VI to the next ordinary session of ECOWAS," read from final statement sanctioning the work of the 51st Ordinary Summit of the Assembly of Heads of State and Government of ECOWAS. The leaders of West Africa have given their agreement in principle for the accession of the Kingdom of Morocco to ECOWAS, in view of the strong and multidimensional links of co-operation which bind Morocco to the States of this subregional organization."
4. "Africa Design Award" back for its 3rd edition: "At the initiative of Hicham Lahlou, the "Africa Design Awards" competition is launched. 5. Noor Ouarzazate complex entirely in-service in the first quarter of 2018: "The year 2018 will be a historical year for Noor Ouarzazate. In the first quarter of next year, all the power stations of this solar complex (Noor Ouarzazate I, II, III, and IV) will be in service. With a capacity of 582 megawatts (MW), these power stations will officially make Noor Ouarzazate the largest multi-technology solar production site in the world. "Noor Ouarzazate II, III, and IV solar power stations are in the final stages of construction. They will be ready by the end of March 2018. Thereby, in the first quarter of next year, all Noor Ouarzazate plants will be operational," told the "Matin-Éco" an authorized source of Masen, the Moroccan Agency for Sustainable Energy. The site consists of four multi-technological solar power plants (CSP cylindro-parabolic, CSP tower, and photovoltaic) for a total investment of more than 24 billion Dirhams, not to mention the common infrastructures developed by Masen and the National Office for Electricity and Drinking Water for the needs of developers."
