Whirlpool® has taken laundry to the next level with a cultural twist. The appliance giant partnered with Grammy-winning rapper Big Boi, best known as one half of the iconic duo OutKast, to launch a limited-edition washer and dryer set that literally plays “So Fresh, So Clean” after every cycle.
The collaboration was designed to spotlight Whirlpool’s latest front-load washer, equipped with the FreshFlow™ Vent System, a trio of features focused on keeping laundry fresher for longer. “We knew with a washer this fresh, it warranted the freshest collab,” said Morgan LaLonde, Whirlpool’s senior brand manager. “And nobody knows how to keep things fresh better than Big Boi.”
The exclusive sweepstakes, running on Instagram from August 19 through September 23, 2025, has already generated massive buzz. Each machine is finished in matte black, embellished with hundreds of hand-placed crystals, and stamped with a Certified Fresh and Clean badge bearing Big Boi’s signature. The true centerpiece, however, is the sound: the chorus of “So Fresh, So Clean” rings out at the end of every wash.
Big Boi himself received the first set, which he proudly installed in his home. “When Whirlpool showed me this washer and said they could put the track in the machine, I was all in,” the rapper said. “Now your laundry looks fresh, smells fresh, and even sounds fresh.”
