This summer, McDonald’s Canada is turning up the style with the launch of its All Dressed Up campaign, created by Wieden+Kennedy Toronto and directed by Kinopravda, starring none other than Canadian country music legend Shania Twain. The singer, who once worked at McDonald’s in Toronto, returns to the brand in a glamorous collaboration set to hit participating restaurants nationwide on August 12.
The heart of the campaign is a simple truth: you’re never too dressed up to enjoy McDonald’s. For a limited time, customers can pair their favourite meals with Shania’s All Dressed Up sides, served in custom, Shania-inspired packaging. The special menu includes All Dressed McShaker Fries, seasoned with the beloved Canadian “All Dressed” flavour, and a sweet Strawberry Pie. To complete the experience, diners can collect an exclusive pink glitter Cowboy Boot Keychain with the purchase of an Extra Value Meal, while supplies last.
A 30-second commercial and a series of cutdowns showcase Shania bringing her signature flair to McDonald’s Canada, even speaking French in select regional spots. The All Dressed Up campaign will run across multiple platforms including TV, online video, social media, the McDonald’s app, radio, and out-of-home placements in Toronto styled like tour posters.
For Twain, the collaboration is personal: “I fell in love with McDonald’s fries while working as a crew member in Toronto, so being able to dress them up with my personal touch was surreal,” she said. “Whether you’re enjoying your All Dressed McShaker Fries or getting ready for a big moment, life is just more exciting when you’re all dressed up.”
