The Moroccan Economy in Brief of 28/03/2017: The AfDB Mobilizes Three Billion Dirham for the SMC

1. The AfDB mobilizes three billion Dirhams for SMC: "To support the acceleration of industrialization of SMC, in particular the export sector, Morocco and the African Development Bank have agreed to launch a new program for about 3 billion dirhams of financing over the period 2017-2019. This financial windfall will be divided into three loans of 1 billion Dirham each, in the form of budget support". 2. Air France launches a new line between Paris and Marrakech: "From now on, Air France connects Paris-Charles de Gaulle to Marrakech every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday in the Airbus A320. This line will have a capacity of 174 seats. On this point, the Air France CEO Frank Legren said the new offer is a part of the "Trust Together" project of the Air France-KLM strategy. For the summer season, Legré clarified that customers of the French airline can fly to Morocco from Paris, with up to 54 weekly flights ". 3. The USFP unveils its vision of government architecture: "On Sunday, the 26th of March 2017, the USFP Political Bureau held a meeting devoted to developments concerning the ongoing consultations with a view to forming a government majority following the announcement by the Head of Government, Mr. Saad Eddine El Othmani, of the parties to participate in this majority. The First Secretary, Mr. Driss Lachguar, gave a presentation on the political situation and the context in which the consultations take place. It has, therefore, emphasized the various issues that the party must discuss in this regard, both as regards the majority program, the priorities to be taken into consideration and the Charter to govern the action of that party Majority or the structuring of the government ". 4. Signature of an agreement between the Ministry, the Holmarcom Group and RSID University: "The Ministry of Crafts and Social and Solidarity Economy, Maison de l'Artisan, Holmarcom Group and Rhode Island School of Design signed a partnership agreement on Saturday, the 25th of March , Moroccan crafts. The aim of this convention is to improve the attractiveness of handicrafts at international level. With the support of the Holmarcom Group, the Ministry and the Maison de l'Artisan have launched a new program which aims, among other things, to introduce the design dimension in the craft sector and to create a pedagogical exchange platform for teachers Artisans, but also to students and professors of the American University Rhode Island of Design (RISD), which counts 2,500 students. 5. Entrepreneurship: The Attijariwafa bank launches "Community days": "The second edition of the community days" AWB EMC BUZZ "for the initiation of young students to entrepreneurship, was recently launched on the initiative of the Attijariwafa bank.
